My Home Notes ("we", "us", "our") makes a mobile app that helps people who live together share a list of the things their home needs. This policy explains what information we collect, why, and how it's used.
Information we collect
When you use My Home Notes, we collect:
- Account information: the display name and email address you sign up with, handled through Firebase Authentication.
- Household information: the name of the household(s) you create or belong to, and your role in them (owner or member).
- Items you add: the names, categories, and status of things added to a shared list, along with who added or purchased each one and when.
- Subscription status: whether you have an active Family Plus subscription, a trial, or are on the Free plan. Billing itself is handled by Apple and RevenueCat — we don't receive or store your payment card details.
How we use this information
We use it to:
- Run the shared list feature — showing the same items to everyone in a household.
- Keep your account and household data in sync across your devices.
- Manage your Family Plus subscription and trial period.
- Respond to you if you contact us for support.
Services we use
My Home Notes is built on a small number of third-party services that process data on our behalf:
- Firebase Authentication (Google) — manages sign-up and sign-in.
- Cloud Firestore (Google) — stores your account, household, and list data.
- RevenueCat — manages Family Plus subscription state.
- Apple In-App Purchases — processes subscription payments on iOS.
Each of these providers has its own privacy practices: Firebase, RevenueCat, Apple.
We do not currently collect crash reports, analytics, or diagnostic data. If we add that in a future version of the app, we'll update this policy before doing so and let you know in the app.
Sharing your information
We do not sell your personal information. We don't share it with advertisers, and we don't use it to build ad profiles. Your household's list data is, by design, visible to the other members of that same household — that's how a shared list works.
Data retention
We keep your account and household data for as long as your account exists. If you'd like your account and associated data deleted, contact us at the address below and we'll take care of it.
Your choices
You can update your display name and language preference from within the app. To request a copy of your data, or to delete your account, email us — see Contact below.
Children's privacy
My Home Notes is intended for general household use and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes to this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
